We had one of the most wonderful trip to Pokot and the trip was organized by Volunteers from Uganda. The main aim of the project was to train teachers on the basic computer skills and also to help them prepare their notes,schemes of work and lesson plans using the xo laptops.We were privileged to have to have a team of teachers from all the schools in the North Pokot District waiting for the training.
Volunteers fron Uganda worked hand in hand with their host from Kenya and the training ran smoothly without hitches.The major major challenge we found was the limited number of xo laptops we were using-8 xo laptops that could not serve the big numbers.
Teachers really enjoyed the training and they wanted us to always come and train them.The Uganda team had to leave after one week but the Kenyan team are fully on the ground.We shall continue updating you with our progress.Bye for now
