School Forced to close due to drought.

The drought situation here in Kenya is getting worse day by day.The Nothern part of kenya has been hit heavily compared to other parts.

In Kodich village in a school called Lokochar which is one of our project site,the school has been shut due to lack of food to support the students and teachers.

The Government mandate in the free primary education in Kenya is to provide fees and food to the school going children.Due to the drought the government has not been able to fulfill its mandate.

We had planned to have a holiday program with the teachers of this school but basing on the conditions on the ground it is becoming trick.
